The Versailles Pumpkin Show takes place just outside our office on the Ripley County Courthouse Square in Versailles, Indiana. It’s always a fun time to see friends, enjoy fair food, and see some of the biggest pumpkins around!
The 2021 event takes place from Wednesday, September 22 through Sunday, September 26th. Wednesday is one ticket ride night, along with the opening ceremonies, King & Queen Contest, and live entertainment.
On Thursday, you can watch the pie eating contest, see live music, and watch the Prince & Princess Contest. It’s also buddy ride night, which means two people can ride for the price of one.
There will be more entertainment on Friday night, but Saturday is the main event. The Pumpkin Show Parade draws a large crowd and winds through Versailles from 10:30 a.m. to noon, followed by the giant pumpkin weighing and awards. There will be a variety of activities on Saturday including the Lion Club’s Kids Zone, Gold Star Chili Dog Eating Contest, a talent contest, and more.
