Summer is in full swing and it’s almost Independence Day. There are several activities in Ripley County.
The 17th Annual Fireworks presented by the Ripley County Chamber of Commerce will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018. The event will begin at 5:00 p.m. with food and craft vendors, with community activities throughout the evening followed by fireworks. The event will be held at the Ripley County Department of Parks & Recreation at the Ripley County Fairgrounds in Osgood, Indiana.
The Milan Fourth of July Celebration begins on June 30th and ends on July 4th. Enjoy a 5k run, ice cream social, breakfast, and the Milan Lions Club Parade. The Parade begins at 10 a.m. on July 4th and is followed by the Fireman’s Chicken Dinner and fireworks at Daren Baker Memorial Park at dusk.
On July 1, enjoy the Star-Spangled Symphony featuring a free performance by the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra as well as fireworks. This event begins at 8 p.m. (gates open at 4 p.m.) at the Bill Gillespie Soccer Park in Batesville.
Fireworks over Versailles Lake will take place on July 7th from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m.
