Are you registered to vote in the 2020 General Election? Whether you applied for an absentee ballot or are voting in person, it’s important to do your research before heading to the polls.
It’s easy to focus our attention on who becomes President of the United States, but you’ll also be voting for many local and state positions. You can see a list of the 2020 General Election Candidates here.
Ripley County Voting Dates
In-person absentee voting will begin on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 in the Election Room of the Courthouse Annex in Versailles. The hours for early voting are 8:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday until the end of October. There will also be early voting from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on October 24th and 31st, as well as from 8:00 a.m. to noon on Monday, November 2nd.
Polling locations will be open from 6:00 a.m. through 6:00 p.m. on Election Day, November 3rd. Those who are unable to vote in-person can request an application to vote by mail by Monday, October 5th. This is also the deadline to register to vote in the 2020 General Election.
