It’s officially summer and there’s a lot going on! Here’s a quick roundup of Ripley County activities to celebrate the Fourth of July, courtesy of Ripley County Tourism.
Sunman Community Market
Enjoy FCN Bank’s ice cream social, a karaoke contest, vendors, food, and produce at Sunman Community Park on July 1st from 5-8 p.m.
Versailles Fourth of July Events
Main Street Versailles is hosting Eureka Band from 7-9 p.m. on July 3rd for Music on the Square, followed by a free showing of the movie An American Tail. There will also be activities for kids in addition to food vendors.
See the Versailles State Park fireworks at dusk on July 6th.
Milan Independence Day Parade
Celebrate July 4th in Milan with a breakfast at Methodist Church from 7-9 a.m. followed by a parade at 10 a.m., and chicken dinner at the Milan Fire Department from 11-2 p.m. The event will include fireworks at Daren Baker Memorial Park starting at dusk.
Batesville Fourth of July Events
Watch the parade from downtown Batesville to Liberty Park starting at 11 a.m. on July 4th. The parade will be followed by food and activities at Liberty Park.
The fun continues on July 5th with a patriotic performance at Liberty Park by Eureka Band at 8 p.m. and fireworks at Hillcrest Golf & Country Club beginning around 9:45 p.m.
Friendship Fourth of July Events
Friendship Tavern & Restaurant is hosting the Yorkridge Boys at 7 p.m. on July 4th. Listen to music and enjoy fireworks at dark on July 5th and 6th at Hudsons Old Mill Campground and Flea Market.
Osgood Fourth of July Events
Catch the Ripley County Chamber of Commerce Chamber Night Fireworks at the Ripley County Fairground Park on July 5th. The free family event begins at 5 p.m. and includes live entertainment followed by fireworks at dark.
